Rowan Summer Crochet
I love Rowan patterns – they suit my style or, at least they would if I had a ‘style’. I tend to pick clothes for their ability to disguise squashed banana or whatever else my toddler decides she wants to smear on me….. Anyhow, as a non-knitter, I can rarely justify spending £11 or so on the Rowan Knitting and Crocheting magazine as it usually only contains one or two crochet patterns. I was really pleased, therefore, to hear that Rowan was bringing out a collection of crochet patterns and ordered it straight away. I wasn’t dissapointed – it has some really lovely patterns in it…..
like this…
and this…..
and my absolute favourite…..
The last one I will definately be making – perhaps in navy rather than cream (pale colours don’t really suit me) – so watch this space!
This is so exciting! Thanks for sharing the news – looking forward to seeing your projects as you get started on them!
I also love Rowan pattern. Although, I consider myself a knitter more than a crocheter when I see the beautiful patters it makes want to put down the two needles and pick up a hook. Can’t wait to see your projects.
I love that last one too – but in my case it would have to be in mud brown!!
hey I just bought it too!!
I think Marie Wallin is a fantastic crochet designer!!
Thank you! I especially like the slate blue jacket with the exaggerated collar. Isn’t it fabulous that so many gorgeous crochet garment patterns are being produced now. =)
Mmmmm…..I really like the top too.
Happy crocheting,
Nina x
yeah, very beautiful. i like the first one but in cream.
thanks
Beautiful, stylish and elegant! I look forward to seeing the last one finished, it will look even better in navy blue!
Great news and very nice patterns! I know I’ll be getting this sometime soon.
oh, i might have to buy it as well. i love the one on the second picture.
I love those too….Now if I could just grow a foot and lose weight, I could wear them LOL
HI, I have just purchased the rowan sumer crochet book and I was wondering if you would be able to help me clear up a few misunderstandings. I am making the GOZO shawl and I am at the part where it tells me towork 27 rows ending after patt row 3 thenwork in patt for 1 more row.
also I am not understanding the part where they tell me to work 5 full patt reps. there are no astericks or stars to show where to start in the pattern.
keeping pattern correct….not sure what they mean by that either.
I’ve been crcohetting for over 10 yrs; however, I ma new to UK crochet terminology. 😦 thank you in advance for any help, melissa
