My Rose

April 30, 2009

Allow me to introduce you to someone rather special….

Her name is Rose (well, actually it’s ‘The Rose’ but we don’t stand on ceremony here…)

Isn’t she pretty?

I must confess that I’m rather smitten.

I’m also very grateful – it was my Mum who paid for her – thanks Mum – you’re the best!

Despite me only having done a tiny amount of wheel spinning previously, the Rose is a helpful little lady and has been very encouraging. Ok, so my initial attempts aren’t brilliant but even after a couple of hours spinning I’m noticing an improvement – so it’s a case of practice, practice, practice – which is what I’m off to do now….

Toodle-oo!

That is so beautiful! Just dropping by to visit… I think I’m going to subscribe =) My brother has been trying to learn how to spin and his thing looks like a big spool rather than a wheel. Cool!

      Hi Joyce,

Thanks very much! My wheel was made by Majacraft. I’m in the UK and bought my wheel from Hedgehog Equipment http://www.hedgehogequipment.co.uk/ – however, as you’re in the US I’d recommend you take a look at the Majacraft website as they have a list of dealers: http://www.majacraft.co.nz/dealer.php

I’ve had a quick look at your blog and it’s lovely – you’re right, we do have similar interests – I’ll definitely be back for a more thorough look!
