Thanks Michelle! It’s Lemon Meringue Layer Cake from Nigella Lawson’s Feast book. It was really simple to make and oh so yummy – layers of sponge and meringue sandwiched together with lemon curd and fresh cream. Hmmm, no wonder that my jeans are feeling tighter today!

I do love lamb – I also put anchovies in with the rosemary and garlic – I was a bit dubious at all but it tasted good and not in the least bit fishy!

Glad your simnel cake turned out well!

Your Easter looks so much more festive than ours was! We were very laid back and really didn’t hardly anything at all. All your baked items look sooooo yummy! Your little one is adorable baking. Those little nest cookies (is that what they are?) are so cute and yummy looking.
What a beautiful walk! The scenery really is spectacular, and its so great that you get to walk through fields. We could never do that around here, everything is “private property”.

Wow, everything looks so yummy! The Lemon Meringue Layer Cake in particular looks and sounds scrumptious!

PG – that’s how I feel today! In need of another break…. 🙂

Stacey – yep, they’re little chocolate nests – just melted chocolate, a little butter and some bashed up shredded wheat. Simple but yummy. Yes, I think we’re very lucky to have public footpaths in this country – I hadn’t realised it wasn’t the case everywhere until recently. Is a shame that there isn’t similar access where you are but (judging from your blog) you get to explore some very beautiful places all the same!

Wil – thank you. I’ll definitely be making the lemon cake again – it was so delicious – about once a day should be enough I reckon… 🙂
